Bear Den Labs ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use Affirmation Lock ("the App").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information Stored on Your Device

Affirmation Lock is designed to keep your data on your device. The App stores affirmations, practice history, mood selections, app preferences, and Screen Time configuration locally using on-device storage (SQLite and MMKV). This data does not leave your device unless you choose to share it with us (for example, through a support request).

b. Speech Recognition

When you use voice mode, speech recognition runs entirely on your device. We do not transmit, store, or process your voice or spoken affirmations on our servers.

c. Screen Time and App Blocking

The App uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings) to block apps you select. Your app selections and blocking schedules are stored on your device and managed through Apple's system frameworks. We do not receive a list of your installed apps or your usage patterns.

d. On-Device AI

On supported devices (iOS 26+), the App may use Apple's on-device Foundation Models to generate affirmations. This processing happens locally on your device. On older iOS versions, the App uses a bundled affirmation deck with no network requests.

e. Subscription and Payment Data

Subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We do not collect or store your payment information. We may receive anonymized subscription status information through our paywall provider to determine your access level.

f. Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide in your message (such as your email address and the content of your inquiry) solely to respond to your request.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and improve the App
• Provide customer support when requested
• Process subscription access through Apple and our paywall provider
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who help us operate the App (such as our paywall provider), subject to confidentiality obligations
• If required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request

4. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Because most of your data stays on your device, you maintain control over it. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information transmitted to us.

5. Data Retention

Data stored on your device remains there until you delete the App or reset your data through the App settings. Support emails are retained only as long as needed to address your inquiry.

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with Apple system services (Screen Time, StoreKit, on-device speech recognition, and on-device AI) and a paywall provider for subscription management. These services operate under their own privacy policies.

7. Advertising

Affirmation Lock does not display third-party advertisements. We do not use ad networks, and no advertising-related data is collected, shared, or used for targeting.

8. Your Rights

You may:

• Delete all App data by removing the App from your device
• Reset your data through the App's settings (where available)
• Request access to or deletion of any information you have provided to us directly
• Withdraw consent where applicable

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
